This week we’d like to introduce you to Lyndsey Hill who recently joined us as an Account Manager. Lyndsey will be in charge of ensuring that all the premier healthcare institutions we work with throughout the Midwest and beyond, have an exceptional experience.
Prior to Next Move, Lyndsey worked as a National Account Manager and has over 15 years of experience in staffing, mostly in corporate HR management.
Award Winning Military Brat
Born to a military family in the good ol’ state of Texas, Lyndsey, who’s favorite word is
"y’all,” says one of her biggest career highlights was when she was the recipient of the
“Show Me Heroes” award, which is given out to companies that offer on the job training to vets and those service members seeking to transition out of military work.
Advice for a Nurse Considering Traveling?
Asked what one piece of advice she’d give to a nurse considering traveling for the first time, Lyndsey said: You will not find a more honest, hardworking, travel nurse agency than Next Move, so give them a shot! They are truly dedicated to you as an individual, and will take the time to learn and recognize your talents.
Life Defining Moment
One of the most defining moments in Lyndsey’s life was when she lost one of her parents at a very young age and her grandparents stepped into to fulfill the parenting role. While heartbreaking and tough to go through – Lyndsey said this life experience gave her a determination to succeed and a strong work ethic.
It should also come as no surprise that most of Lyndsey’s coworkers would describe her as compassionate – and someone that is always on the lookout for the win-win. Lyndsey is also a pro at de-escalating difficult situations. Somehow she always manages to keep the focus on the solution, and not the problem.

What’s a typical day like for you?
I like to prepare the night before, for the day ahead. I always try to knock out the most important items first, and then give my full attention to anything else that needs following up on.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I can play the trumpet and the French horn.
What do you want to make sure you do before you die?
I'd like to kayak in the Indian Ocean. Out of all five oceans, it has always been my dream to kayak in each one. Four down. One to go. ;)
What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?
You should never stop learning! I want to take any and every opportunity to grow my knowledge of the healthcare field.
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is:
Always expect the unexpected.
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Knowledge is power, but I’m not certain in the case of this question.
Why did you choose your profession?
This is the ultimate multitaskers dream and I get to stay up to date on the latest technology.
At the end of the day – what makes you smile?
Knocking out the smallest goal or task is enough to make me smile.

Time shifting! Sometimes I feel I don’t have enough of it and there are moments I’d love to revisit.

If that means a nurse traveler wants an assignment that’s only 32 hours a week, we find them that assignment. If that means a nurse is looking to make upwards of $3,000 a week – we bend over backwards to make that happen.
Our obligation to our travelers is quite simple:
Always give our travelers the best possible offer the first time, no low ball offers with full transparency and zero bullshit.
Be our travelers best advocate and make sure each assignment gives them exactly what they need. Specific days off? No problem. Block scheduling? No problem. Limited hours? No problem.
Make each of our individual travelers our top priority and be available to them any time of day or night.
